At Lockboxer we know that people have a lot of stuff. And it's hard to manage your stuff to sell it, make wish lists for more of it, donate it, or put a home inventory of your stuff together. Most of all, it's hard to find the right price to even get started.
As is the case with most ideas, Lockboxer came to be after a couple of unexpected life events. First, founder Jennifer Morehead's sister and brother-in-law had the unfortunate experience of losing their home to a flood. While helping Katie & Mike sort through the aftermath, Jennifer saw how devastating the experience is, both in trying to remember everything that was lost and in seeing the emotional connection we have to the things in our home. Several months later, Jennifer's mom suggested that she would really like to make a home inventory. Her mom's close friend had been through a house fire and after Katie & Mike's experience it just seemed time to check off home inventory from her to-do list.
But Jennifer's mom didn't know where to start. That's how the lightbulb went off for Lockboxer.
When we started designing Lockboxer we realized we could help people do a lot more with their stuff than just make a home inventory. So we ended up putting the easy list-making and price-finding technology at the center of what we do. We hope you enjoy using Lockboxer. It's a liberating feeling to have so much information about your stuff at your fingertips. Here's to all the fun you'll have organizing, sorting, and making money with your things using Lockboxer!
